J.D. Reisner began his involvement with Harambee as a youth in our teen
leadership programming. He is now one of our Youth Programming Staff. J.D.
is a freshman in college and works fulltime for Costco. J.D. was
transracially adopted as an infant and grew up in the Minneapolis area
Ella VanDenburgh began her involvement with Harambee as a youth in our teen
leadership programming. She is now one of our Youth Programming Staff.
Ella is working fulltime at Aldi. Ella was transracially adopted and grew
up in northern Anoka County.
Abby Johnson has been involved in Harambee's youth programming since July,
2004. She recently graduated from Northwestern College in Chicago and is
currently a therapist with African American Family Services. Abby was
transracially adopted and grew up in Willmar.
Michelle Johnson has been involved with Harambee since its' inception in
February, 2003. She has more than 15 years of experience working with youth
and families through child welfare and therapeutic programs. Michelle is
currently the Volunteer Coordinator for the Hennepin County Guardian ad
Litem program. Michelle was transracially adopted as a toddler and grew up
in the Minneapolis area.
