Come for: mentoring of children and youth by Harambee's African American mentors relationship-building with other families like yours resources, support and referrals Current weather predictions indicate a chance of light rain. In the case of inclement weather, we have reserved the use of the West Picnic Shelter. Rain or shine, we will be celebrating our families! Picnic tables will be available. We suggest you bring lawn chairs or a blanket for more comfortable seating. Harambee Village will be providing charcoal for grilling and refreshments. Families may bring their own food for grilling or picnics. Kite-flying. Kite-flying is a traditional spring activity in many countries including Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia, and the U.S. Each child will get a kite. The event is free.
