We are intentional about our partnerships at Harambee Village Doulas.  We seek genuine partnerships that are mutually respectful, dignified, equitable and sustainable. We know that it takes a Village to raise a healthy baby, and our doulas cannot do it alone.  Consider partnering with our agency and our innovative work in the community, and pull together with us!

Research with Us

Some of our past research includes:

  • A Pregnancy, Birth, and Lactation Support Program to Increase Exclusive Breastfeeding Rates in Black Women, in partnership with Dr. Ryan Mcadams, Neonatology Division Chief in the UW Dept of Pediatrics; Funded through a Meriter Foundation Grant

  • Advancing postpartum care for Black women in Wisconsin by engaging community partners with a home telehealth service for hypertension– a feasibility project in partnership with Dr. Kara Hoppe in the UW department of OB-GYN; Funded through a New Investigator WI Partnership Grant

  • Today Not Tomorrow Pregnancy and Infant Support Program (TNT-PSIP) in partnership with Dr. Jasmine Zapata; Funded through a New Investigator WI Partnership Grant
